If you are on this page, either you are a recording nerd like me, or you have entirely too much time on your hands. Originally, I thought I wouldn’t have this list because, although much the gear here is among the very finest, and is certainly worth mentioning, I think there is far too much emphasis on gear nowadays. Good equipment is a faster path from A to B, but the most important factor in any recording are the decisions that are made in the process. Having said that.
